Orkney College Management Council calls for a Student Representative
Nominations are sought for a vacancy as a student member of the College Management Council, for a term of 1 year, though reappointment to the role is possible.
The role involves acting as a representative of the students in relation to strategic decisions relating to the College, in conjunction with Councillors, Business Representatives and Community Representatives.

As student member of the College Management Council, you will gain a valuable insight in to Orkney College UHI whilst representing the student body, ensuring student opinions are heard. You will develop communication and critical thinking skills and establish new connections across the academic network. All of these skills would make a great contribution to your CV, especially if you have interest in developing a career around student politics, business and management, communications or similar.

The closing date for nominations is Friday 14th October 2022.
What happens next?
If an election is required, a date will be announced later in October.
As a student representative you will be required to go through the same process of appointment as the other non-elected members, including PVG clearance and then formal appointment by the Chief Executive.
