NUS Scotland Education Award comes to Orkney College UHI

The Highlands and Islands Student Association (HISA) was awarded the NUS Scotland Education award for the work that they carried out with apprentices last year.

In November, working alongside the National Society of Apprentices, HISA facilitated workshops with apprentices at Orkney College UHI, Inverness College UHI and North Highland College UHI.

The award has come back to Orkney as, out of the three sessions, our campus had the second highest attendance of 15 (a massive 10% of all apprentices in the locality), 3 of which then showed interest for sitting on the National Society's leadership board.

Our group was also credited with being the MOST engaged out of all the sessions carried out in Scotland. Well done everybody who attended and took part!
