Hospitality Industry Service Skills SCQF Level 4 SVQ

What is special about this course?

This is a full time course aimed at people who wish to pursue a career or volunteering in the hospitality industry and who have little or no experience.  In semester one students will study a number of modules related to hospitality and will spend time preparing our realistic working environment in the Training restaurant. The group will also take part in food production and service in the T CoZy Café one day a week.

In semester 2 students will undertake a work placement as part of their studies.

None specifically but completion of progression courses would be an advantage.

How long will my course last?

1 Academic Year

The course has been developed in discussion with local employers and gives people with the opportunity to work towards an SVQ Level 1 inHospitality Services.

Students taking the course will gain experience and a qualification that will hopefully help them find work in the local hospitality sector.
