Skills for Work - Early Education and Childcare SCQF Level 4

What is special about this course?

This Skills for Work course is aimed at school pupils who are interested in working in a childcare setting or for pupils who have an interest in child development and children’s needs.

Entry requirements

You will attend taster sessions and undergo a short interview.

This course consists of four units at Intermediate Level 1 covering

  • child development
  • parenting skills
  • working in early education and childcare
  • play in early education and childcare

You will study by way of classroom based lectures.

The course is continuously assessed.
